Job Title: Electrician

Job Description

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for performing various electrical tasks including the installation of electrical systems in office fit-out spaces, conduit bending, and wiring. You will interpret blueprints, perform basic splicing, and ensure the safety and functionality of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire office fit-out spaces using 3/4 inch EMT.

• Perform conduit bending and install BX & MC cables.

• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, RCPs, elevations, and dimensions.

• Pull wires, mount boxes, and use threading tools and hydraulic benders.

• Install receptacles, 3-way and 4-way switches, and troubleshoot electrical faults and poor connections.

• Understand and work with condensing units, air handlers, and condensate pumps.

• Bend and install EMT, galvanized, and aluminum pipes ranging from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches unassisted.

• Apply knowledge of conduit bending formulas and hydraulic benders.

• Work safely with live parts and adhere to electrical safety standards.

• Follow instructions from foremen or mechanics and comply with NYC and National Electrical Code.

• Familiarity with American Wire Gauge (AWG) standards up to #6.

Essential Skills

• Basic electrical concepts and wire pulling.

• Experience with conduit bending and installation.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings.

• Knowledge of 3-way and 4-way switching and troubleshooting electrical faults.

• Understanding of condensing units, air handlers, and condensate pumps.

• Proficiency in using threading tools, hydraulic benders, and pulling machines.

• Familiarity with electrical panels, live parts, and electrical safety protocols.

• Knowledge of NYC and National Electrical Code.

• Experience with American Wire Gauge (AWG) standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification.

• Site Safety Training (SST) certification.

• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yonkers, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
