Deloitte Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) - Tracking & Trading/Broker Data Import Program (BDIP) Senior Analyst in Stamford, Connecticut

Are you an experienced analyst who is detail oriented and possesses strong process improvement, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills? Do you enjoy analyzing large data sets, as well as working with customers to answer their questions? We are seeking a Senior Analyst who will be responsible for monitoring brokerage account compliance for over 100K professionals and the daily import of 20+ broker dealer files into Deloitte's Independence monitoring system called the Tracking & Trading System. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, have good working knowledge of various financial instruments/markets, have a background or interest in compliance and will strive to provide exceptional quality and superior customer service. The Senior Analyst is expected to be a subject matter expert to answer questions, provide team training, document our processes, and provide compliance metrics.

Work you'll do

As a Senior Analyst in the Tracking &Trading/BDIP team, you will:

  • Be part of a strong and cohesive team and will work closely with outside brokerage firms, our Deloitte professionals, ICN Management and the US India team

  • Gain a robust knowledge of Deloitte Policies to provide guidance to professionals to resolve customer inquiries specific to their financial relationships and compliance requirements

  • Assist Partners and employees (our internal clients) in understanding compliance rules specific to their personal financial relationships and addressing their compliance requirements

  • Monitor the import of 20+ broker/dealer files to ensure data flows into Deloitte's independence monitoring system called the Tracking & Trading System

  • Assist with the technical aspects of onboarding new US and India based brokers

  • Assist with the periodic review of broker data files

  • Utilize reports and macros to efficiently monitor Deloitte professionals' compliance

  • Work with large data sets to troubleshoot and present weekly statistics to ICN Management

  • Coordinate with other ICN teams to ensure that our internal customers are served seamlessly

  • Plan and execute specialized compliance projects as directed by ICN Management while giving consistent progress updates to stakeholders

  • Identify innovative ways to improve the execution of our business processes. Work with management to define system requirements and process redesign opportunities to enhance our operating model to provide improved efficiencies and a higher level of service to internal customers. In some cases, these efforts require coordination with individuals outside of our immediate department.

Independence & Conflicts Network

The Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) team performs a critical consultative, quality-assurance and risk management function for the Deloitte US Firms, helping the organization remain unbiased and free from conflicts-of-interest, in fact and appearance, when providing service to attest/audit clients. Independence requirements are defined by specific sets of policies, externals rules and regulations, so maintaining both the independence of the Deloitte US Firms and personal independence is essential to the business and reputation of Deloitte. This position offers a dynamic work environment which is driven by the changing financial instruments and the need for responsiveness to regulatory change. The Senior Analyst will be expected to gain a solid understanding of internal and external policies to support the team and provide meaningful interaction with other departments within the organization, end users (Deloitte professionals with independence requirements), external stakeholders, other Deloitte network organization firms, and numerous outside brokerage firms that participate in our Broker Data Import Program.

Qualifications Required:

  • BA/BS degree.

  • Three to five years of relevant work experience in a large corporate or professional services firm

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Willing to work in person in our Stamford CT office as required by team leadership (presently two days each week but may be subject to change)

  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

    Preferred:

  • Masters degree or relevant experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Tableau

  • Strong technical background

  • Previous experience with project management

  • An understanding of Independence requirements for professional auditing firms

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $63,000-$129,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
