Full Job DescriptionSenior Data Scientist, Search and Lookup Services, FactSet Research Systems Inc. Jersey City, NJ: Works alongside both the product and engineering teams to build and optimize search algorithms as well as provide insights that enable data-driven decision making. Provide technical input to high-impact team, develop practices in a production environment; and taking data analysis to influence change in either business functions or products while using critical skills. This will include the development and understanding of Product lifecycle at FactSet and identify areas where data-driven insights that can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of business decisions. Complement key product initiatives with Data Science techniques to ensure Product decisions are supported by the underlying usage data by challenging assumptions, proposing data discovery actions to affirm assumptions, and evaluate post-release usage to assess the effectiveness of product changes. Identify and develop user metric tracking that can convey how the user engages with our products and how customers respond to changes to our products. Create visualizations that can clearly convey user metric insights to stakeholder teams. Connect usage databases from the Search product to FactSet usage databases outside of Search to analyze user workflows beyond our application. Engage in mining historical usage to conduct statistical analysis to identify changes in usage patterns as they relate to product changes and search engine adjustments. Design and conduct A/B testing when appropriate to evaluate product change alternatives.Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or higher, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field. Must have 3 years of experience in statistical modeling, Data analytics with multi-dimensional data, Data visualization for Stakeholders, distributed data/computing tools such as Spark and MySQL. Must have Experience in taking data analysis to influence change in either business functions or products, knowledge of Python and R, Data Visualization tool Power BI. Must have experience with graph databases and AWS environment.Basic pay range is One hundred forty five thousand dollars to one hundred seventy five thousand dollars per year for full -time employment (Mon. - Fri. 9-5).
