Primary Responsibilities
Review case specific settlement documentation for compliance with relevant IRS tax code sections and our underwriting guidelines.
Build relationships with and act as point of contact for brokers and case managers to timely resolve advanced underwriting requests and inquiries including:
Case qualification
Pre-sale document review
Settlement document language modifications
General underwriting questions
Problem case resolution and exception processing
Provide quality review, feedback and approval on case processing inputs including first payment release
Draft structured settlement annuity contracts
Identify areas of improvement in our workflows and recommend possible solutions and participate, as necessary, in system enhancement initiatives.
Serve as escalation point for junior members of the broader team
Maintain Service Level Agreements through metric measurements.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required.
Minimum 3-5 years related experience
Structured settlements knowledge and/or legal experience is a plus but not required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management skills, the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities to meet changing business needs.
Must possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to make informed decisions when deviating from standard policy and understand business risk
Ability to work as part of a team but also requires the ability to work independently and provide timely results.

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $83,500.00 to $129,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
