Job Overview:
Functions as overall manager of the Nursing Staffing Office and oversees the day-to-day management of the department. Responsible for customer service initiatives and finance oversight. Responsible for departmental scheduling and payroll. Responsible for ensuring all nursing departmental scheduling and payroll functions are consistently aligned. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training and developing a diverse multidisciplinary staff. Works with staff to build an effective team. Assists Nursing Division AVPs with support related to Nursing Division activities and special projects. This position also works collaboratively with administrative assistant/administrative coordinators within the Nursing Division and facility. Responsible all pertinent staffing data is maintained and reported to the appropriate governing bodies.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience with Nursing Staffing
Must be well versed with agency on-boarding and scheduling
Must be able to project and appropriately staff nursing units based on census, acuity, and available resources
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with EHR Systems and software applications. Proficient with Microsoft Office

Essential Functions:
Maintains data reported to the NJ DOH related to Hospital Patient Care Staffing Reports
Interacts with the public and employees tactfully and diplomatically via the Nursing Office, Nursing Staffing Office, and Patient Experience phone lines as well as in-person and helps to resolve issues or escalate issues to appropriate leadership
Determines priorities of the department and performs or delegates the work effectively
Reviews Nursing Reports for accuracy and follows through on corrections
Works with the site Nursing Finance Director and Nursing Directors to ensure consistent and accurate data input into ADP to ensure data flowing into Strata is accurate and reliable Keeps physical properties of the Nursing Administration offices (Nursing, Nursing Supervisors, Nursing Staffing) in good state of repair, monitors the policies and needs of the office and reports status to AVP Nursing Operations for any updates or changes needed
Adheres to budgetary guidelines and proactively manages budget variances and causes
Demonstrates cultural competency and the ability to maintain a diverse workforce
