Prudentials Group Insurance business manufactures and distributes a full range of group life, long-term and short-term group disability, supplemental health, and group corporate, bank and trust owned life insurance in the U.S., primarily to institutional clients for use in connection with employee and membership benefits plans. Group Insurance also sells accidental death and dismemberment and other ancillary coverages and provides plan administrative services in connection with its insurance coverages.
The Group Insurance business is undergoing a transformation which includes expanding product offerings and driving sustainable, profitable growth. We are currently seeking a self-motivated individual to become part of the Life Product team, as a Life Product Manager, Growth Initiatives. This role will report into the VP, Group Life Product Lead and will be accountable for supporting the ongoing development of Prudentials Group Life products and related capabilities with focus on delivering roadmap initiatives that contribute to growth of the portfolio. This individual will partner with other Product Managers and Directors on the team.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is fully virtual. While this position does not require your on-site presence on a regular basis, depending on business preferences, there may be occasions where you are required to be on-site at a Prudential office.
What you can expect:
Supporting product initiatives, including new product and capability development, to achieve growth of the life product portfolio.
Supporting the evaluation of our current product suite to identify opportunities for enhancements.
Assisting in assessing P&L impact of proposed enhancements to influence the prioritization process.
Executing on day-to-day product development activity such as updating marketing materials, processes, documentation, contracts, and systems requirements
Monitoring the industry and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities to grow the life product portfolio.
Supporting distribution and brokers with product expertise and requests
Collaborating with other functions in the business to ensure a profitable product including pricing, training, distribution, claims, etc.
Supporting distribution, underwriting and broker training for new product roll outs.
Supporting process improvements and product changes that continually improve the customer experience.
Assessing impact of and implementing regulatory changes.
Handling escalations with annual Q&A database refresh as well as product enhancement updates.
Reporting product performance to Product Lead and understanding product profitability.
What youll need:
3+ years Group Life insurance experience.
Product management or development experience preferred.
An intelligent and thoughtful, decisive and action-oriented individual with negotiation and influencing skills.
Strong, consumer-centric approach to understanding experiences with a service-oriented mindset.
Highly collaborative, routinely bringing the right expertise to the table.
Successful in building strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to take initiative; identify potential issues and propose paths to arrive at solutions.
Ability to use data to identify opportunities and inform recommendations.
Ability to organize, prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
Dedicated, principled but flexible and hard-working, with a high energy level.
Strong external focus with the ability to navigate internal teams and process to deliver on objectives and goals.
Strong interpersonal skills, clear communication skills, team orientation, and the desire and ability to work with business partners across the organization.

What we offer you:
Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $118,700.00 to $176,600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
