Job Title: Foreman
Job Description
Work directing the installation of plumbing and related systems, equipment, and fixtures. This individual is responsible for planning, laying out, participating in, and supervising plumbing work on job sites and in the shop. The employee works with considerable independence except on large construction and modification projects, where some technical supervision is provided. Work assignments for maintenance and repair are received by Teams Construction software, written job requests, and emergency calls. Work is reviewed primarily by users of equipment and systems through observation and conferences while projects are in progress and upon completion. Construction and remodeling work is reviewed for compliance with specifications and building codes. Work is performed under general direction and supervision from leads on site.
Responsibilities
Direct the installation of plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures.
Plan, lay out, participate in, and supervise plumbing work on job sites and in the shop.
Receive work assignments for maintenance and repair through Teams Construction software, written job requests, and emergency calls.
Ensure work is reviewed for compliance with specifications and building codes.
Work independently on most projects, with some technical supervision on large construction and modification projects.
Essential Skills
Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment of the plumbing trade.
Ability to analyze defects in plumbing equipment and determine necessary repairs.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and lay out work from prints, rough plans, sketches, drawings, and broken parts.
Experience with cast iron plumbing.
Ability to lay out and mark work for helpers, run storm or sanitary systems, and work with water and temporary water lines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with PVC installation.
Mechanical aptitude.
Proficiency with hand tools.
Work Environment
Looking for a plumbing foreman to help their team on-site in Jersey. Work is performed on construction sites, often outdoors or in unfinished buildings. The position requires the use of various tools and equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
