Full Job DescriptionOur client, a media company, is looking for a full-time VP of Marketing and Partnerships! This role is onsite 5 days per week at their NYC office. The VP of Marketing will report to the President and CEO. This is a freelance to fulltime role.The client is looking for someone who has worked in a Digital Marketing role at a MUSEUM or CULTURAL INSTITUTION.The VP of Marketing and Partnerships will be responsible for:Strategy and ExecutionDesign, create, and implement the overall strategic marketing plan and brand positioning to increase awareness of client's programs, the organization and its mission, and develop and implement marketing campaigns to drive:Membership-both public and industryVisitor traffic to client's museumsTicket sales for all of client's programsViews and engagement with client's programs and contentLeverage all media assets across digital, social media, programming and event content, website, onsite, bartered media and promotional partnerships to increase awareness and drive memberships, visitor traffic and ticket sales revenueCollaborate with Department Heads and key internal stakeholders across all departments including Programming, Communications, Membership, Sponsorship, Development, Operations & Guest Services, and Legal & Business Affairs to build consensus around key campaignsServe as the lead ensuring the successful trafficking and implementation of all campaigns and marketing initiativesBuild and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, strategic marketing and promotional partners as well as with key agenciesLeverage AI technologies to develop innovative strategies and solutions that drive customer engagement and business growthSocial Media, Digital Marketing, Website and AnalyticsWork with key internal stakeholders to participate in the design, implementation and ongoing management and analysis of client's new CRM system; work with internal stakeholders to ensure key data is captured within the CRM; utilize data to tailor marketing, advertising, and promotional activitiesOversight of Digital Growth & Marketing Analytics-develop, implement, track and trend impactful integrated multi-channel digital marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives across all consumer touchpoints, ascertain key metrics, measure KPIs and determine trends; analyze and summarize data for the executive team to provide monthly market positioning, track progress and inform ongoing initiativesManage the design, development and tagging of client's website to ensure clear positioning of client's messages, implementation of sophisticated digital tracking tools and a positive customer journeyOversee all social media strategy, editorial calendar planning and implementation, messaging; track engagement; grow followers and engagement on client's existing channels and explore/launch new channels (i.e., TikTok, Snap, Pinterest)Partnerships and PlanningWorking with key agencies, partners, and internal stakeholders, develop marketing and communications plans to identify, target and reach key demographics and audiences to:Engage and expand client's membership communityGenerate visitor traffic to client's exhibits and experiencesDrive ticket sales to programs and eventsIncrease views of client's programs and contentWorking with the Director, Events Marketing & Partnerships, to develop and secure bartered promotional and media partnerships with key media outlets (tv, radio, digital, print, outdoor, etc.), cultural institutions, tourist, travel and hospitality organizations, and other relevant organizations to support media plansCreative ServicesResponsible for oversight of the Creative Services Department; create relevant, contemporary brand experience to attract and retain donors, corporate partners, major gifts, media partners, members, and viewershipResponsible for the creative development and production of all marketing collateral, promotional materials, and adsOversee brand style, messaging and create content for social media and digital channels, website, PSAs, core message development, fundraising collateral, membership materials, sizzle reels, sponsorship decks, and other marketing and communications materials as neededEnsure compliance and consistency of brand and creative services in all activitiesDevelop and prepare key presentation materials for the organizationSales & MembershipsCreate marketing and sales plans that drive membership, visitor traffic, and ticket sales for client's public and industry programming, as well as, patron and corporate donors, international and media council memberships programsLeverage industry and professional contacts to recruit and secure corporate, international and media council membersDevelop and optimize marketing campaigns across all client's activities that include strategic engagement and touch points for donors and membershipUtilize AI to analyze membership and sales data, identify trends, and develop targeted marketing campaigns that drive membership growth, visitor traffic, and ticket salesThe VP of Marketing and Partnerships has:15+ years of experience as a senior marketing executive within the media, entertainment, or sports industriesProven ability in developing strategic marketing and sales campaigns that maximize revenue goals through innovative sales and marketing conceptsDemonstrated ability in creating and executing sales plans that drive memberships and event ticket sales revenueProficiency in leveraging AI technologies to develop innovative marketing strategies and solutions that drive customer engagement and business growthExceptionally collaborative and strong consensus builder with the ability to influence and drive key business activitiesHigh energy, entrepreneurial, results-driven, and well-organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environmentOutstanding interpersonal skills to represent the company with excellence in the C-suite of corporate partners, a prominent outside Board, and with our executivesAn executive presence marked by discretion, good judgment, and a polished, personable demeanor with an ability to work well as a member of a team and with individuals at all levels throughout the organizationExcellent project management skills and client-centered orientationAbility to travel for key events and festivals, and ability to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends when necessary to support events and programsStrong and effective leader and manager with a proven track record of success helping organizations build prominent brands both domestic and internationallyMust have a 4-year degree from an accredited college or university.
