Job Summary:

The ACH Product Manager at MUFG Bank, Ltd. will primarily support and participate in updates and enhancements related to the ACH product, including documentation changes, system/infrastructure updates, training materials, marketing materials, compliance standards, and other requirements. The position will facilitate product development and management activities with Bank departments and outside vendors to expeditiously promote and deliver quality ACH products to the marketplace in a safe and secure manner while adhering to established risk and regulatory guidelines. Additionally, the ACH Product Manager may support other products within the payables and receivables product offerings.

Major Responsibilities:

Product strategy and delivery:

  • Participate in efforts to identify product needs of target markets.

  • Serve as a key participant in product life cycle activities such as performing new product/feature approval tasks, drafting marketing and sales support materials, developing operating procedures, and representing the business to operational, project and technology teams.

  • Develop strong working relationships with Transaction Banking, Operations, and Technology partners.

  • Support RFP responses and respond to questions and requests from Service and Sales.

  • Effectively communicate with sales staff and/or ACH clients to ensure understanding of services, as well as compliance requirements and procedures.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex customer service issues.

  • Support the development of business cases for technology investments

  • Maintain an awareness of major industry trends and support management in evaluating enhancement opportunities.

  • Assess customer and operational requirements, conduct complex data analytics and develop solutions supported by the appropriate rationale to secure senior management approval.

  • Collaborate in development of business requirements and functional requirements documents and ensure User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is completed successfully.

  • Coordinate the development and enhancement of the product set between project managers, Operations, Client Delivery, IT partners and other stakeholders. This includes client rollout plans and may require weekend/after-hours application testing, as required.

  • Support management to ensure compliance with the Bank's Business Standards of Conduct and all Patriot Act, CIP, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, and other regulatory and compliance policies and procedures.

Product Profitability and Pricing:

  • Provide analytical support for strategic and tactical decision making and business reviews. For executive presentations, identify volume and revenue trends and their sources, with forecasting.

  • Partner with Relationship Managers, Client Service officers, and TB Treasury Relationship Managers as appropriate to drive revenue growth and identify impacts to product financials.

  • Provide requisite support for improvements to price modeling initiatives, annual pricing cycles, and billing system changes related to pricing.

Product Risk Management:

  • Actively participate in periodic product risk assessments.

  • Represent ACH in payments risk policy and procedure reviews.

  • Proactively identify and address risk issues.

  • Work on remediation of product related audit and/or self-identified issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years’ experience in product management, operations, service, or business analytics role in a financial environment.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the NACHA Operating Rules.

  • Familiarity with financial file formats such as Nacha, ISO 20022 XML, SWIFT, and BAI; experience executing user acceptance test cases; experience with compliance or regulatory requirements.

  • Familiarity with online banking management, or UAT testing of online banking platforms

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint.

  • Working knowledge of Confluence or other collaboration platforms.

  • A goal-oriented team player with ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with groups or individuals across the institution and within the industry.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong skills in data gathering, analysis, and interpretation.

  • Ability to support weekend/after-hours application testing, as required

The typical base pay range for this role is between $109K - $168K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
