Job Title: Value Engineering Specialist Location: New York City Company: ESO Consultants LLC Job Type: Full-Time / Contract Job Summary: ESO Consultants LLC is seeking a Value Engineering Specialist with expertise in transportation and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience leading value engineering analyses on design and construction projects within the past ten years. The specialist will play a critical role in identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimizing project performance, and ensuring efficiency in transportation-related infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Lead value engineering (VE) analyses for transportation and infrastructure projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Collaborate with project teams to assess design alternatives, construction methods, and lifecycle costs. Conduct systematic evaluations to enhance project functionality without compromising safety, quality, or regulatory compliance. Develop and present value engineering recommendations to key stakeholders, including project owners, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Perform technical reviews of airports, tunnels, bridges, terminals, rapid transit, and waterfront projects to determine cost reduction and process improvement opportunities. Utilize value engineering methodologies to develop alternative solutions that align with project objectives. Prepare detailed VE reports, cost-benefit analyses, and documentation for project proposals. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to value engineering in transportation infrastructure. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading value engineering analyses in transportation or infrastructure projects within the past ten (10) years. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Certified Value Specialist (CVS) or other relevant certification preferred. Proven experience working on at least two (2) projects within the past five (5) years related to: Airports Tunnels Bridges Terminals Rapid transit Waterfront developments Strong knowledge of value engineering principles, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessment. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera, or other relevant project management software.
