Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $67,933 - $80,421

Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $78,874 - $87,847

Associate Transit Management Analyst: $89,162 - $115,445

The ATMA, administrative and operational support, role provides essential administrative and analytical support to the Office of the President, ensuring efficient office operations and effective data management. This role involves coordinating key administrative functions, tracking and documenting customer correspondence, assisting with financial processing, and supporting employee engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Office Administration: Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and handle general correspondence.

  • Data & Records Management: Maintain and organize administrative records, track incoming data, and assist with updating the NYCT committee book.

  • Customer Correspondence Logging & Tracking: Utilize Salesforce Cassie (CRM) to log, track, and manage incoming Inspector General (IG) complaints, ensuring proper documentation and timely follow-up.

  • Report Preparation & Documentation: Compile, proofread, and format reports, summaries, and presentations to ensure accuracy and clarity.

  • Financial Processing: Assist with procurement card reconciliation, verify transactions, and ensure compliance with financial policies.

  • Employee Engagement Assistance: Provide logistical support for internal programs, events, and engagement initiatives.

  • General Administrative Support: Serve as a backup for administrative staff and assist with additional tasks as needed.

    This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple administrative responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in office software and effective communication skills are essential.

    Education and Experience:

    Assistant Transit Management Analyst I or II

  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management, or a related area; or

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management, or general administration.

    Associate Transit Management Analyst

  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management, or a related area, and one year of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the areas listed above; or

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and three years of full-time satisfactory professional experience as described above.

    Desired Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities efficiently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data management systems.

  • Experience with Salesforce Cassie (CRM) or similar customer relationship management software is a plus.

  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of financial reconciliation processes and general procurement procedures.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

    Selection Method:

    Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

    All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
