International Student and Scholar Services
The Temporary SEVIS Coordinator for International Student and Scholar Services ( ISSS ) is a position that will report to the Assistant Director Pre-Arrival Programs in ISSS . The SEVIS Coordinator is responsible for processing applications for I-20s and DS-2019s for new student requests in the Sunapsis system. The Coordinator will also be responsible for advising students in basic immigration regulations and maintenance of their student status.

Responsibilities:
Serve as Designated School Official ( DSO ) and Alternate Responsible Officer ( ARO )
Process applications for I-20s and DS-2019’s using SEVIS , Sunapsis & Banner systems
Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Pre-Arrival Programs and the International Student Pre-Arrival Manager to meet processing goals
Utilize Sunapsis, New School email, and virtual meetings to communicate with admitted international students requirements to complete the I-20/DS-2019 application
Respond to student inquiries and requests through the ISSS general email inbox
Keep abreast of University, NAFSA , USCIS , DHS and DOS guidance to ensure compliance
Participate in ISSS meetings
Other duties as assigned
Work Modality:
- Hybrid – Employees hired for this position primarily work remotely with the occasional on-campus presence required with advanced notice. Employees in this role will also be expected to use their best judgment to be on campus when necessary in order to best fulfill the responsibilities of their job descriptions.
Rate:
$28 an hour, 10 hours a week, 12 week
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Ability to work in groups and independently.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Windows-based environments including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.), Google Drive, Banner, Sunapsis and/or SEVIS .
Excellent communication, organization, & customer service skills.
Punctual & resourceful with a positive attitude.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and be able to serve as a Department of
Homeland Security ( DHS ) Designated School Official ( DSO ) and a Department of State ( DOS ) Alternate Responsible Office ( ARO ).
- Ability to pass a required background check.

Previous experience working in Sunapsis
