What You Will Do:

- Develop comprehensive structural drawings with clarity and precision, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
- Perform engineering calculations using both software tools and hand calculations to analyze and design structural elements such as beams, columns, and foundations.
- Conduct gravity and lateral system analysis for low- to mid-rise building projects.
- Evaluate and analyze existing structures for retrofits and rehabilitations.
- Conduct field inspections for facilities and transit-related structures as required.
- Utilize industry-standard software such as ETABS, SAP2000, RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, STAAD, Mathcad, and TEDDS for structural analysis and design.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a professional and productive manner.
- Engage in client interactions by participating in meetings to understand project requirements, present design solutions, and address any concerns.
Education | Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis (required).
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or a Master's in Structural Engineering (required).
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (required).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred) with the ability to obtain New York and New Jersey licenses
- 2-4 years of structural design experience.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design using both engineering software and hand calculations (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, RAM Structural System, STAAD).
- Experience with structural drafting and detailing in AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation.
- Solid understanding of building codes and industry standards (e.g., AISC, ACI, ASCE, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Valid driver's license required.
