Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in New York, New York. As a pivotal part of our team, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of handling both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. Your role will also involve working with various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

Responsibilities:

• Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) with precision and diligence

• Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy

• Maintaining and updating the general ledger regularly

• Preparing and posting journal entries as part of the month-end close process

• Utilizing accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various tasks

• Ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date

• Addressing and resolving any issues or discrepancies in the accounts

• Assisting with other accounting tasks as required. Requirements

• REQUIRED: Percentage of Completion Accounting

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger maintenance

• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of NetSuite accounting software

• Proficiency in Oracle financial software solutions

• Experience with QuickBooks accounting software

• Familiarity with SAP financial software solutions

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments

• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to accounting and taxation
