Location: Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite at Palo Alto, CA or NYC

Come join Kohler Ventures as Sr. Full Stack Engineer, as we build a best-in-class global multi-disciplinary team across artificial intelligence, machine learning, design, advanced software and hardware engineering, strategy, venture investments, sales, marketing, and partnerships.

In your role as Sr. Full Stack Engineer at Kohler Ventures you will:

  • Work directly with the Head of Software, software engineering team, and product teams.

  • Design web applications with cloud backend that can scale with the business growth of Kohler Ventures.

  • Build the forward-looking vision and lead the effort to understand and drive requirements with hardware/software teams.

  • Coordinate with product development teams to execute rollout/adoption of common libraries, services, and patterns.

  • Measurably improve code normalization across one or more critical code concerns throughout the codebase.

Skills/Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.

  • Proficiency in programming languages JavaScript, TypeScript. NodeJS.

  • Solid understanding of REST API design and microservices architecture.

  • Experience with PostgreSQL databases.

  • Demonstrated understanding of web application security.

  • Experience with Frontend frame NextJS, ReactJS.

  • Experience with CSS frameworks and tools such as sass

  • Implement responsive designs for various devices and screen resolutions

  • Availability to work outside of standard business hours as needed to be able to collaborate with teams across multiple time zones.

  • Ability to travel 10% of time both domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical experience in systems engineering at scale with regards to testing, reliability, security, and observability.

  • Champion for quality in code, processes, and culture.

  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical and management information clearly and concisely.

The base salary range for this position is $114,500 - $145,450. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 16% of base salary for the NYC metro area. The base salary range including ASD for this position is $132,820 - $168,722 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k.
