TEKsystems Sr. Data Architect in New York, New York

Upon joining the team, this person can expect:

-Learn the first 30 days, learning data, learning flows from point a to b, learning sources, existing structure, Documenting as much as they can.

-Building some sort of unified structure, clean some of the current state up

-Analytics/Reporting on top of that, what AI insights we can get

-DevOps components- as changes flow in, how do we structure that.

-Talks moving from SQL to noSQL- we recognize growth of data we are tracking, activity we have within navigator- 3-4 years from that, but this person could start laying prep/ground work for this.

The Sr. Data Architect reports to the Sr Director of Engineering and is responsible for defining and implementing a unified data architecture to streamline and enhance data access, storage, and reporting across the company. You will define standards and best practices for data governance, meet with and understand the data and reporting needs of various teams, and create robust reporting mechanisms. Additionally, you will lead efforts to integrate AI technologies into our data workflows to unlock predictive insights and advanced analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities

•Design and implement a scalable, robust, and consistent data architecture, aligned with business objectives, that supports both operational and analytical needs.

•Partner with engineering teams to integrate AI and machine learning models into the data architecture, enabling predictive analytics, automation, and improved decision-making capabilities.

•Work closely with business and project stakeholders to deliver data solutions for a diverse set of problems.

•Help ensure security, privacy and compliance for all data assets.

• Create comprehensive documentation for data processes, structures, and pipelines. Provide training and support to ensure best practices are followed throughout the organization. Design and develop data pipelines for data collection, analysis, and related functions.

• Establish and enforce data governance standards, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across all systems and departments.

• Plan and support data security, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies

• Represent our data capabilities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Provide thought leadership for technical architecture design, development, and deployment to support customer/partners data needs.

• Identify technical blockers to accelerate architecture implementations and route non-technical issues for removal by the appropriate party.

• Performs related duties as requested

Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, or related field

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.

• Strong proficiency in database management systems (SQL, NoSQL), data warehousing, and data modeling techniques.

• Familiarity with Azure data technologies such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Cosmos DB

• Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques

• Solid understanding of data governance, security practices, and privacy laws (HIPAA, CCPA).

•Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset with the ability to influence key stakeholders.

• Experience working in healthcare a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
