Google Sponsorship Sales Lead in New York, New York

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 11 years of experience in digital media, sales, marketing, or product roles.

  • Experience working with digital organizations.

  • Experience identifying client’s challenges to defining customer and product strategy, enabling long-term opportunities.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience providing product and domain expertise, and leading end-to-end responsibilities for product area related client projects for one or multiple customers to increase product adoption.

  • Experience establishing and advancing goals and priorities, balancing the needs of Google product areas, sales organization, and customers.

  • Experience identifying client’s challenges to defining customer and product strategy.

  • Experience in sponsorship sales, and understanding of video advertising landscape and sponsorship sales process.

  • Ability to drive product thought leadership for Google, sharing expertise with peers and customers.

  • Ability to influence senior-level stakeholders with competing objectives to address customer product needs and close agreements.

A Sponsorship Sales Lead is a proactive and specialized Sponsorship Video Seller that thrives in a fast-paced, complex cross-functional environment. You'll help to build demand, negotiate and close sponsorship packages, and disrupt the ever-changing video landscape. You understand how YouTube sponsorship can support an advertiser’s business objectives and drive value for agencies.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Collaborate with the sales team to find and secure video sponsorship opportunities with potential clients by developing customized video sponsorship proposals.

  • Monitor and analyze sponsorship business performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide regular reports to management.

  • Identify business growth opportunities within the market and for customers, and work with internal stakeholders to determine and drive the business growth, potential of opportunities, marketing efficiency, and the incremental investment recommended to achieve customer business outcomes.

  • Manage expectations and maintain relationships with stakeholders to build rapport and credibility, and plan, create, deliver strategy, and provide input to help stakeholders achieve project goals.

  • Share and scale best practices, learnings, and business strategies (e.g., objection handling, pitching, business techniques, etc.) to upscale accounts, and link solutions and best practices to meet customer and Google business needs.
