Our insurance arm draws upon impressive global resources and financial strength to tailor each policy to meet the individual needs of our customers.The Primary Casualty Group of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a Senior Underwriter to join our New York office.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Utilizing authority to underwrite and price loss sensitive casualty (deductibles, SIRs, retros) and Guaranteed Cost business for the following lines of coverage: Workers Compensation, Commercial General Liability, and Commercial Auto Liability, while adhering to divisional underwriting guidelines.Establishing and maintain broker relationships in the Northeast region with a concentration on primary casualty businessDevelopment and execution of business strategy necessary to drive submission flow and binding of profitable business.Working collaboratively with home office, marketing and distribution, actuary, claims, loss control, premium audit, and legal in an effort to develop and maintain a profitable portfolio of primary casualty insurance placements.Qualifications, Education & Experience:College degree preferred, with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience underwriting Primary Casualty loss sensitive insuranceCPCU, CRIS, ARM or other insurance certifications are a plusShould have experience and/or expertise in working with a broad array of program structures - guaranteed cost to large deductibles to captivesExisting relationships with Northeast brokers handling primary casualty businessPossess strong presentation, communication, and business development skillsKnowledge, Skills & Competencies: Demonstrated ability to generate profitable new businessStrong relationship management skillsExcellent analytical, communication, and computer skillsAbility to successfully complete multiple tasks concurrently within a fast-paced, team-oriented, working environmentCustomer-oriented approach (Specify qualities and attributes needed to perform the job, i.e., leadership, influencing, problem solving, creativity, communication skills, analytical skills, networking, multitasking, etc.#LI-RS1#LI-HybridOur Culture At Everest, our purpose is to provide the world with protection. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
