Role Overview: As a Senior Research Technician, you will be an essential part of Dr. Heller’s research team. You will work on developing a Machine Perception Liquid Biopsy (MaPeLBx) platform consisting of quantum well defect-modified carbon nanotubes (QWNTs) for early diagnostic assessment. The platform will detect different types of cancer and characterize biomarkers using patient biofluids.
Develop and evaluate cutting-edge Machine Perception Liquid Biopsy (MaPeLBx) platform
Coordinate Patient Sample Biobanking : liaise with clinician-collaborators to identify and source patient samples for diagnostic analysis.
Techniques & Assays : implement -omics and spectroscopic assays with patient biofluids.
Data Management : curate patient datasets, including annotation of clinical data, organization, and documentation of samples.
Collaboration : Assist peers and researchers with ongoing projects, fostering a team-oriented, supportive environment.
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Reports to : Lab Manager and Embedded Lab Investigator
Maintain and operate sophisticated laboratory equipment and instruments.
Manage laboratory supplies and inventory, including ordering and restocking as needed.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 2 years of laboratory experience.
Preferred background knowledge in scientific computing, numerical analysis, or machine learning.
Preferred background knowledge in -omics analyses or biomarker discovery.
Must be able to work with patient biofluid samples.

Range: $27.80-$43.08
