Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Sponsor Engagement is a critical member of the Events team. This person will be responsible for co-owning sponsor engagements post-sale, taking primary responsibility for ensuring all benefits are delivered successfully for each contract and acting as the day-to-day point of contact for all sponsors of US Events and sponsored Center programs. Successful candidates must be proactive, client service oriented, multi-taskers with excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills. Because this role will be client-facing, extreme attention to detail and superb customer services skills are an absolute must. The Senior Manager, Sponsor Engagement, will also contribute knowledge and firsthand sponsor experience to the retention sales process, and continuous refinement of sponsor packaging, activations and pricing.
Accountabilities:
• Primary liaison for sponsors post sale, implementing the benefits program promised.
• Collaborate with sales leads to support relationship building and customer service.
• Responsible for ensuring a positive, valuable experience for sponsors with all contracted sponsorship benefits properly executed. This includes but is not limited to:
o Lead day-to-day communications with the sponsor’s team
o Communicate, direct and project manage sponsor goals, strategy and deliverables to integrated Events team to execute (including but not limited to Marketing, Programming, Meeting Planning, Sales)
o Create all pre and post event documents and communications; plan and lead sponsor kick off calls and status calls as needed
o Ensure proper implementation of sponsor’s directives including logo placements, brand standards, and any other communicated needs
o Collaborate with Marketing to deploy invitations and collect RSVPs for all sponsor attendees, and attendees for sponsor driven elements within events
o Lead planning and project management of more specific sponsored initiatives as needed (i.e. webcasts, webinars, podcasts, briefings, roundtables, etc)
o Manage assigned budget for sponsored activation when needed; coordinate and contract resources needed to execute (i.e. moderator, materials, etc) when required
• Own the sponsor management process – documenting best practices, evolving process when needed, keeping up any digital tools created to support the process, train new sponsorship managers or other team members when needed
• Proactively support the Director, Sponsorships and Events leadership by contributing learnings and knowledge of implementation to constantly improve sponsor activations and packaging
• Support the sales team with prospecting, proposals and sales enablement activities, as needed/assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5+ years of client-facing event sponsor management or client account management experience
• CRM experience preferred
• Passion for customer service and collaboration
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills
• Adept with digital collaboration tools and presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva or equivalents, Microsoft Teams/SharePoint/Planner or similar software)
