S ummary
The Senior Project Controls Manager will lead MTA Construction and Development ' s efforts to implement and oversee project controls for a significant component of the MTA Capital Program within the Delivery Department. Responsible for escalating issues, making quick decisions, and enabling efficient and quali ta tive products on cost estimating scheduling, project risk, cost control, and project reporting functions. Oversees and develops managers and staff.
Responsibilities
Willing to m ake informed, aggressive, challenging , and 'risky' decisions to drive performance and value for money.
Makes decisions and takes timely action on matters that mitigate risk, build clarity and increase the likelihood of project performance and success.
Handles broad-based, often complex, communications for the Delivery team and/or Development and Agency stakeholder groups effectively.
Creates a forum and format for ongoing open communications across functional areas and/or stakeholder groups.
Education and Experience
Bachelor ' s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.
Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have focus and ability to deliver results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
Must possess excellent team - building , listening, problem - solving, and prioritization skills.
Proficient computer skills (i.e., Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.) and strong business administrative skills (i.e. , presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc.).
