Salary Range (Grade B): $113,172- $160,206
Responsibilities :
Facilities Project Management is seeking a candidate to manage capital project delivery for all Facilities Capital Construction projects in the Division of Facilities. This includes but not limited to the following:
Project management activities that ensure project delivery is safe, efficient, on schedule, within budget and per project documents, contract documents, drawings, specifications, and relevant policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
Monitor project status, deliverables, mitigate risk, identify critical paths related to long lead items and resolves project issues.
Coordinate project delivery activities with C&D, DOS Stakeholders, Code Compliance, Office of System Safety and field personnel.
Track and maintain project logs
Track and manage project budgets, including project bid leveling and expenditures
Lead a team managing multiple projects throughout the system that can be above and below grade station environments
Education and Experience :
A bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation or a related field and Nine (9) years of full-time related experience and Five (5) years of Managerial or Supervisory experience.
A satisfactory combination of Education and Experience.
Desired Skills :
Experience in project estimating, construction scheduling, construction processes and methodologies.
Common practice to run a team through construction from inception pre demo documentation to commissioning and closet out packages.
Understanding of construction financials and keeping a project under budget and on schedule.
Ability to filter through end user requests and prioritize work
Plan for future projects based on the capital plan funding
Organize and filter incoming work from end user requests and plan the work accordingly
Preferred knowledge of NYCT facilities but not required.
Architect or PE license in the state of NY preferred but not required.
Strong MS Excel and project skills.
Preferred experience includes finance and accounting skills, knowledge of facility maintenance
Knowledge of NYCT rules and regulations.
Experience in performance reporting and asset management.
Selection Method :
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
