This has resulted in our Valuation Services group growing steadily year over year and becoming one of the leading valuation practices in the industry.

This professional will provide business valuation expertise supporting fairness and solvency opinions for public and private companies in the context of M& A and recapitalization transactions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of valuation consulting experience with an emphasis on providing fairness and solvency opinions or other transaction opinions.
  • Experience with valuations for tax or financial reporting purposes is also highly preferred
  • Ability to critically analyze financial information and communicate assumptions effectively
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple engagements, and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
  • Interview clients, including face-to-face meetings, to gather data and information pertinent to the engagement
  • Strong skills in Excel and Word. Must be able to construct and operate a three-statement cash flow model
  • High level of proficiency with customary valuation methodologies including DCF analysis and comparable company/precedent transaction multiples
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as strong verbal oral and written communication skills
  • Provide insight and expertise on target industries as well as market and competitor information
  • Identify and communicate potential engagements to senior management
  • Work with senior management to resolve technical issues and promote best practices
  • Supervise and mentor less experienced staff on analyses, reports and presentations
  • Work out of either our Chicago or NY office

Full-time Positions and Part-time Positions Over 30 hours

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD& D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $130, 000 - $175, 000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A& M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
