Position Summary:
As an Executive Director for the Public Finance Syndicate team, you will play a crucial role in delivering top-tier financing solutions to municipal and not-for-profit issuers. Our team collaborates closely with banking, investor marketing, debt capital markets, trading, and sales to achieve this goal.
Job Responsibilities:
Deal Execution: Lead the marketing and pricing efforts for J.P. Morgan's lead-managed and co-managed public finance transactions, ensuring effective client engagement and seamless execution. Collaborate with banking teams and issuers to determine optimal timing, structure, and spreads for new issue Public Finance products in a dynamic market environment.
Client Relationship Building: Demonstrate the drive and capability to maintain and enhance relationships with investors and issuers, fostering long-term partnerships. Build strong client relationships through skilled execution of transactions.
Pricing Expertise: Provide indicative pricing for new issues to banking teams and issuers, leveraging your deep understanding of market dynamics.
Analytical Excellence: Conduct and oversee analytical work for clients and internal partners, utilizing existing models and developing new ones to study market trends. Present findings clearly in both written and oral formats.
Team Collaboration: Understand the roles of team members within the front office and support areas, effectively coordinating efforts to achieve transaction goals. Listen actively and translate information from key partners into actionable insights. Proactively take on additional responsibilities to add value.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in public finance or a related field.
Extensive knowledge of credits, underwriting, and client relationships within the market.
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive under competitive pressures while maintaining a client-focused approach and attention to detail.
Initiative-driven, with a keen interest in clients and markets, and the ability to generate creative ideas.
Strong teamwork ethic, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong client presence.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Bloomberg.
Ability to learn J.P. Morgan products and systems and utilize pricing tools effectively.
Strong control discipline, with the ability to escalate issues appropriately and minimize risk to the firm.
Series 7/52/63/79 designations preferred.
