Job Description

The Education Technology Coordinator/Program Coordinator II is responsible for assisting with academic and administrative technology needs of the Medical Education program. This role responds to technology questions/ requests and escalates to the appropriate individuals/ teams as needed. The Education Technology Coordinator is also responsible for providing user training on basic operations and applications of standard software and systems. This position reports to the Technology and Learning Systems Manager.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of computing workstations, mobile devices, and common software

• Understanding of AV/multimedia/presentation systems is a major plus

• Ability to diagnose and solve common technical issues

• Some experience with data management and/or process automation is a plus

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to effectively work with users of varying skill levels, and provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal

Experience:

• Experience in a Technical Support/Technology Specialist or similar role

• Experience in academic and/or health care environments is preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain learning space systems on a daily basis to support curriculum delivery and events, while serving as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and ensuring optimal technology functionality

• Support setup and provide support to end-user for computing needs, enterprise platforms including Microsoft 365, Google Suite, and other specialized document/data management/automation apps

• Advise on specification and purchasing of equipment, software, and the like

• Support and/or escalate issues with access management, network accounts, et al.

• Manage inventory of technology assets owned by the Department of Medical Education

• Assist with technology project planning and execution

• Perform related duties as assigned

Compensation Statement

Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64526.72 - $74250 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
