CVS Health Principal Data Scientist - Marketing Analytics in New York, New York

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Data Science to join our team. As a Principal Data Scientist you will drive the next level of growth with CVS Health with a bold new approach to total health; a national direct to consumer healthcare brand reaching millions of prospects and members.

Additionally, you will leverage data analytics to gain deep knowledge of the customer experience, use data and analytics to optimize marketing campaigns, and develop strategies through insights to attract new members and keep our current ones happy and healthy. As a key leader of the team, you will bridge the marketing strategy and technical deployment of many different consumer and member journeys across multiple digital touchpoints.

Responsibilities:

  • Developmarketing audiences, set up test designs and strategies, and communicate out results for and insights for marketing programs

  • Create consumer and member audiences through use of targeting models and consumer health preference segmentation

  • Connect audiences to targeted media across multiple digital channels and experiences

  • Track consumers and members across multiple touchpoints along the journey from consumer to member including digital advertising, web visits, and call center interactions

  • Construct datasets for reporting and dashboards for monitoring marketing program progress across multiple touchpoints

  • Launch, measure and report on A/B and multi-variate tests to improve program performance across key indicators

  • Mine data for insights and performance improvement opportunities to continually enhance consumer and member journeys

  • Engage with marketing and business stakeholders to develop go-to-market plans, support marketing strategies with data driven insights, and lead in planning for member growth and retention

  • Manage multiple work streams and projects using excellent time management and planning skills to ensure on time deployment and high-quality results

  • Utilize excellent data storytelling techniques to create presentationsand content that easily communicates answers to complex problems in a clear and compelling way; present to leadership

  • Build strong relationships with business, marketing, tech partners; serve as an advisor and advocate for the solutions designed by the analytics team

Required Technical Qualifications:

  • Hands on technical skills to act as technical Data Science practitioner

  • 10+ years of relevant analytic experience

  • 5+ years using R or Python

  • 5+ years of experience in SQL at advanced level

  • 3+ years of Tableau or React to build dashboards and data products

Required Business Qualifications:

  • Directto consumer marketing experience in a digital first business

  • Familiar and fluent in web, paid digital media measurement and optimization (Adobe Analytics/ Customer Journey Analytics, Liveramp experience preferred)

  • Demonstrates strong ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners

  • Ability to effectively influence stakeholders and become a trusted partner that is indispensable

  • Strong knowledge of advanced analytics tools and methodologies to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources, build models, and consumer segmentation

  • Demonstrates proficiency in most areas of mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, statistical analyses, and predictive modeling with in-depth specialization in some areas

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Master’s degree preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$144,200.00 - $288,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
