Position Summary | The American Museum of Natural History is one of the world's preeminent scientific and cultural institutions, and has as its mission to discover, interpret and disseminate information about human cultures, the natural world and the universe through a wide-ranging program of scientific research, education and exhibition.The Education department is seeking a full-time Operations Manager for Children, Family and Youth Programs to work with two departments: Children and Family Learning (CFL) and Youth Initiatives (YI). The CFL group focuses on children ages 2-10 and their caregivers. The YI group focuses on youth ages 11 to college and beyond. In both groups, there are yearlong and multi-year experience and vacation camps.The Operations Manager is responsible for leading several aspects of administration for CFL and YI and working collaboratively with administration teams across the Museum to advance our projects. Key duties in support of program leaders and educators include managing program participant paperwork, supporting purchases, federal paperwork, room bookings, logistics for large events/external activities in communities and overall office support.Job duties include, but are not limited to:
The expected salary range for the Operations Manager for Children, Family and Youth Programs is $65,000/annual - $70,000/annual. The AMNH offers an extensive benefits package designed to meet the needs of our dedicated and diverse community.Pay will be determined based on several factors. The hiring range for the position at commencement is based on the type of work and the scope of responsibilities. The salary and placement offered is based on a number of individualized factors, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, education, credentials, areas of specialization and depth and scope of experience. |
