Job Description: We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC equipment under the guidance of a professional engineer. You will perform system design calculations, analyze HVAC system options, and ensure compliance with building codes and standards. Collaborate closely with senior engineers and project principals to prepare design documents, including plumbing and fire protection systems, and coordinate with architects and engineers from other disciplines. Manage your tasks to ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Design HVAC equipment under the guidance of a professional engineer.

• Perform system design calculations and analyze HVAC system options.

• Ensure familiarity with relevant building codes and standards.

• Collaborate with engineers and project principals to prepare design documents.

• Coordinate work with architects and engineers from other disciplines.

• Manage personal tasks for technical accuracy and timely delivery.

Essential Skills:

• Mechanical engineering and design experience.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience is a plus).

• Familiarity with building design and codes.

• HVAC system design and engineering.

• 2+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC).

• Experience with project types such as healthcare, data centers, central plants, municipals, etc.

• Familiarity with ASHRAE Standards.

• LEED certification.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• E.I.T (Engineering in Training).

• P.E (Professional Engineer) - Highly preferred.

• Revit experience.

• Energy engineering.

• Sustainable energy knowledge.

• AutoCAD design skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
