Position Overview
Tiffany & Co. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Pricing and Analytics who will partner with the VP and Director to achieve Company objectives through global price optimization.
The manager will lead periodic global positioning reviews on price indexing by market, currency and competition. They will drive innovative reporting and analysis to inform the product pricing strategies and decision-making with a focus on sales impact and price elasticity. The manager will lead end-to-end price execution with oversight of the internal pricing platform; inclusive of setting, adjusting and troubleshooting market prices. Among other responsibilities, the manager assists with reporting, analysis and presentation needs to support senior leadership and key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills who brings initiative, analytical rigor and demonstrated agility with the ability to balance a strategic mindset with a detail-oriented perspective on pricing.
Key Accountabilities
Global Pricing Management
Evaluate market-level positioning structures and currency exchange to identify shifts/opportunities in collaboration with zone partners
Develop market-specific proposals (central and regional) within product context to improve market alignments and advance strategic competitive pricing efforts
Participate in feedback loops with zone and Finance counterparts; partner cross-functionally to build workable implementation timelines as necessary
Publish regular price index reporting with insightful commentary to Senior and Regional Leadership
Global Pricing Analytics and Optimization
Model price change scenarios down to sku-level based on varying objectives/constraints for profit and volume
Prepare scenario summaries and analysis of projected action impact on sales, overall profitability and other key performance indicators
Measure product sensitivity (type, group, etc.) to inform elasticity; have a command of and communicate on price optimization using modeling system and framework
Identify price testing opportunities of optimization recommendations; evaluate channel-based opportunities
Global Price Execution
Lead all aspects of end-to-end pricing operations with oversight of internal pricing platform; ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement
Deploy global and market price changes in alignment with strategic objectives and defined timelines
Troubleshoot market price issues in partnership with IT leads
Support new market openings with positioning structure recommendations, highlight transfer price economics, and re-evaluate periodically in partnership with Tax, Logistics, Retail Operations and zone Finance
Competitive Pricing Analysis
Maintain global competitive pricing library with market-driven intelligence
Prepare regular benchmarking and index studies for primary product portfolio to support leadership views
Collaborate with zone partners to field additional insights and address opportunities from market directly
Ad Hoc Managerial Support
- Address ad-hoc reporting and presentation needs as necessary to support team and Senior Management
Staff Management
Develop and coach staff to meet Company objectives through be effective, self-started and results-oriented by providing ongoing feedback and strategizing about long-term development and goals
Support the Director with the alignment of strategic and operational objectives and their communication throughout appropriate departments and cross-functional partnerships
Encourage team members to think boldly and operate as full, accountable partners with their colleagues throughout the organization
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; an MBA or Masters preferred
5+ years of work experience, preferably within a managerial capacity in Pricing of luxury items or a consumer retail business
Superior analytical skills, demonstrated statistical modeling proficiency and strong understanding of pricing strategy; experience in PBI and/or Anaplan pricing model preferred
Demonstrated agility in adapting to changing priorities
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong collaborator with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to lead and develop staff
Expertise in Microsoft Office Excel and aptitude in other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) with adaptability to new software
The hiring range for this position ranges from $111,350 - $157,200. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
