We are looking for a strategic and analytical Manager of Business & Consumer Analytics to join our dynamic team at Estée Lauder North America. This role will be responsible for leveraging data analytics to drive business insights, optimize marketing strategies, and enhance consumer engagement – with a full, end-to-end view of the business. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical and storytelling skills and a passion for using data to inform decision-making in the beauty industry. This person will work report into the Executive Director of Sales Operations, but work closely with both Sales and Marketing leadership, as well as the brand’s General Manager, on key initiatives and priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Analytics:

  • Leverage large and complex transaction-level data sets to drive retail insights and Go To Market plans.

  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and business drivers to identify opportunities for growth across Estée Lauder brand and channels (DTC and Wholesale).

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs), recap campaigns and new launches and provide actionable insights to leadership teams.

  • Collaborate with marketing, finance and commercial teams to measure ROI on marketing and promotional investments.

  • Support ad-hoc Retail projects that require analytical support.

Consumer Analytics:

  • Utilize consumer data, surveys, and market research to understand customer behavior, segmentation, and preferences.

  • Analyze first-party and third-party data (including retailer dashboards) to identify trends in shopping behavior, product affinity, and customer lifetime value.

  • Partner with Marketing team to assess campaign performance, optimize targeting strategies, and personalize consumer experiences.

  • Work with CRM, Marketing and Online teams to enhance customer journeys through data-driven strategies.

  • Support ad-hoc Consumer Marketing projects that require analytical support.

Market Analysis:

  • Maintain the comprehensive brand Circana dashboard of the US market vs Estee Lauder by category/sub-category and geography.

  • Post and distribute new market information as it is available on monthly basis, highlighting key insights.

Collaboration & Strategy:

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing and sales teams to integrate analytics into business decision-making.

  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic initiatives.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging analytics technologies, and best practices to drive innovation in data analytics and business intelligence.

Presentation of Insights & Storytelling:

  • Develop clear, engaging, and visually compelling presentations to communicate key insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Synthesize complex data into concise, actionable stories that inform business strategies and decision-making.

  • Create impactful data visualizations and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.

  • Present findings to senior leadership, brand teams, and cross-functional stakeholders in a compelling and influential manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in business and/or consumer analytics, preferably within the beauty, retail, or luxury goods industry.

  • Experience with business intelligence platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.

  • Exceptional Excel skills and excellent PowerPoint skills.

  • Experience with Circana a plus; ability to learn new databases and comprehend nuances of the data provided is a necessity.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.

  • Strong knowledge of CRM, customer segmentation, and digital analytics tools a plus.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Strong written, oral and presentation-based communication skills and the ability to present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s own work streams.

  • Highly motivated with desire to work in fast paced, consumer-centric environment.

Pay Range:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $139,600.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
