Representation of clients before Immigration Courts and administrative offices throughout the U.S. Draft and review legal documents during Immigration Court proceedings and administrative office process. Assist in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, case preparation, tracking and communication of case-related dates and information, and the review and preparation of court submissions, notes and correspondence. Orally prepare clients before Immigration Court hearings and administrative office interviews. Translate legal documents from Chinese to English and from English to Chinese. Assist in providing outreach and education on immigration policies and laws including political asylum, deportation defense, naturalization, and other forms of legal immigration benefits and relief to Chinese speaking immigrant communities. Manage relationships with clients and counsel, directing strategy for litigation. Analyze claims/litigation to effectively participate in decisions related to resolution strategy. Advise clients on preparation of evidence and testimony in submissions to the Immigration Court. Work on miscellaneous legal projects within the Litigation Department that may arise.
