Job Title: Raw Bar Attendant
Location: City Vineyard
Reports To: Executive Chef
Position Summary:
The Raw Bar Attendant is responsible for the preparation, presentation, and service of raw bar items, ensuring a high-quality and engaging guest experience. This role requires strong attention to detail, product knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining food safety standards. The Raw Bar Attendant will work closely with the culinary and service teams to deliver an exceptional dining experience aligned with City Winery’s hospitality standards.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve raw bar items, including oysters, shrimp, and other seafood selections, following proper shucking and handling techniques.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked raw bar station throughout service.
Ensure all seafood is fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Educate guests on raw bar selections, provide recommendations, and answer any menu-related questions.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen and service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking and deep cleaning of the raw bar area.
Perform other duties as assigned by management to support overall restaurant operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in raw bar service, seafood preparation, or a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of proper seafood handling, storage, and shucking techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Food handler’s certification or ability to obtain one as required by local regulations.
Passion for hospitality and commitment to providing an outstanding guest experience.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Comfortable working in cold environments (e.g., seafood storage areas).
