Sony Music Entertainment seeks Lead Architect, User-Generated Content and Social Media, Global Technology in New York, NY to work on digital supply chain IT projects. Help develop company IT capabilities around gathering data for protecting and monetizing content effectively on User-generated content (UGC), social media, and new Web3.0 and decentralized Internet platforms. Design, build, and guide the development of scalable and reliable IT solutions. Manage IT project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Innovate by assessing and identifying new technologies and tool sets that company can leverage from opensource and cloud SaaS solutions. Monitor IT project milestones and deliverables. Initiate, review, and approve modifications to IT project plans. Engage in feasibility and impact analysis and provide work estimates. Assess current and future business needs and priorities by communicating directly with business units. Provide IT technical leadership, architectural oversight, training and mentoring to development teams, and create end goals and delegate work and assignments to team members. Schedule and facilitate meetings related to IT projects. Collaborate with multiple teams to identify and fix technical problems. Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage transition to pure cloud, serverless and cost and security optimized deployments. Develop implementation plans that include analyses such as cost-benefit and return on investment (ROI). Regularly evaluate cloud applications and software and provide guidelines and direction. Identify issues within the company's technology stack and carefully document solutions. Design and deploy cloud automation and CI/CD pipelines for new projects and applications. Design and implement specified functional requirements within two-week development cycles. Develop and maintain containerized deployment scripts. Design data and message structures (e.g. JSON, XML), queue and topics, clustering/partitioning strategies, and construct message processing components (e.g., consumer and producers in multiple asynchronous pipelines). Design and develop event processing pipelines to feed/consume data to/from external services using Kafka, and create technical documentation as needed. Update development progress continuously. Leverage audio fingerprinting and machine learning algorithms to proactively detect instances of fraud and copyright violations across social media platforms. Serve as second-level support for production issues (e.g., fixing bugs, data cleanup, etc.). Identify and mitigate technology risks in projects through standardization and development practices. Remain informed of current trends and recommend software solutions. Telecommuting permitted 2-3 days per week. 4% domestic travel required. Salary: $177,010/year. Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field. Must have at least 8 years of experience in the job offered or related, including 8 years of experience with: (1) Java/J2EE and Python and deploying these applications at AWS using services such as VPC, ELB, EC2/ECS/EKS, S3, SQS/SNS/MSK, Lambda/AWS Batch, RDS/Aurora, Dynamo/Elastic Cache, Redis; (2) Constructing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that deploy infrastructure as code, containerized micro-services running Wildfly, Springboot, NodeJS, or similar application stack supporting REST or GraphQL API within cloud environments; (3) Designing and implementing data or messaging structures (e.g. JSON, XML) or leveraging queue/topics or data persistence software (RDBMS/SQL, Document and Graph DB); (4) Clustering/partitioning strategies, constructing messaging architectures for asynchronous processing, and highly concurrent multi-threaded/massively parallel workloads involving running headless HTTP based user agents at scale to pull data available on the internet; (5) Designing and developing event driven application pipelines to feed/consume data to/from external services using Kafka and similar queuing solutions; and (6) Developing web application using HTML, Javascript, Gxt, ReactJS.Job Location: 25 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10010To Apply:Email resume to: Diane Barnett - dbarnettPX@sonymusic.com and reference 05616.00119.
