OVERVIEW:

Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a highly creative In-House Graphic Designer to join our design team join the Mainline Ready to Wear, Leather Goods, and Heaven team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters. The Graphic Designer will drive innovative design initiatives and collaborations across Mainline RTW, Leather Goods, and Heaven. This role will focus on conceptualizing and executing limited-edition collaborations, artist partnerships, capsule collections, and experimental design projects that push the boundaries of fashion graphics.

The ideal candidate is a visionary with a strong aesthetic sensibility, an ability to translate conceptual ideas into compelling visuals, and a deep understanding of the luxury and contemporary fashion landscape.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Lead graphic design and special project designs, capsule collections and collaborations, ensuring alignment with the brand’s artistic direction.

  • Develop and execute exclusive prints, patterns, and textile graphics that elevate seasonal collections and special initiatives.

  • Conceptualize and design graphics for limited-edition pieces, one-off projects, and high-impact visual storytelling across RTW, leather goods, and accessories.

  • Collaborate with external artists, creative collaborators and cultural tastemakers to bring unique perspectives into special projects.

  • Research and experiment with innovative techniques, materials, and graphic applications, exploring new possibilities in textile printing, embroidery, and embellishment.

  • Oversee the development of special project graphics from concept through production, ensuring high design integrity and execution.

  • Work closely with product development teams and external vendors to ensure accurate application of graphics on textiles, leather, and unconventional surfaces.

  • Create renderings, mock-ups, and CADs to visualize and refine design proposals for internal presentations and external partners.

  • Execute detailed tech packs to communicate precise graphic application instructions for manufacturing.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6+ years of experience in graphic and RTW design, with a strong focus on special projects, collaborations, or artistic partnerships within the fashion industry.

  • A bold and distinctive portfolio showcasing work across RTW, accessories, leather goods, and experimental design concepts.

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and rendering tools.

  • Strong illustration skills (both hand-drawn and digital), with a refined sense of composition and storytelling.

  • Deep knowledge of textile printing techniques, embroidery, and mixed-media applications.

  • Passion for art, culture, and fashion history, with an ability to translate these influences into fresh, unexpected graphic concepts.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines with precision.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a collaborative approach to design and problem-solving.

    SALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER: 

    The compensation for this position ranges from $85,000 - $95,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
