The Global EHS Engineer is responsible for providing Environmental, Health and Safety support at a Global level for all Beckman Coulter Life Sciences associates.

This position reports to the Global Sr. EHS&S Manager and is part of the Beckman Coulter Life Sciences Global EHS&S Function working remotely to cover facilities, risk management, and support to beyond operations EHS.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Responsible for execution of compliance requirements including company systems, reporting, policies, and procedures as well as all applicable external regulatory requirements (Country EHS Requirements, FDA, DEA, DOT, OSHA, EPA, etc.).

• Act as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that EH&S Risk Management (FM Global) requirements are met by all Beckman Coulter Life Sciences sites.

• Work with functional leaders from Field Service, Sales, Human Resources, Quality, and others as appropriate to develop an effective EH&S compliance training program.

• Key person to manage Safe Driving programs/ systems (wheels, samba, & tourmo) for Field Service / Sales associates.

• Assist EH&S compliance audit execution and lead & guide routine internal EH&S auditing and verification (Internal/External) and corrective action tracking.

• Partner with site EHS Managers to coach and develop field leader audit expertise, incident investigation and EHS compliance. Support field service / sales EHS internal compliance through internal EHS systems such as Gensuite audit and corrective actions closure.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering with related field with 5+ years or Master's degree with 3+ years experience within EH&S including work in manufacturing operations and product engineering/R&D.

• Knowledge and experience working with ISO Management System certification (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).

• Strong understanding of all applicable global, local, state, and federal regulations (E.g. OSHA, EPA, CAL-OSHA, ANSI, Fire Code, Global EHS, etc.)

• Demonstrated experience with internal/external EHS auditing inclusive of audit software- Gensuite highly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience with Risk Management Processes and systems – FM Global highly preferred.

• Experience driving projects using tools for continuous improvement (DBS preferred), data analysis and utilization of lean and Six Sigma tools such as problem-solving, value stream mapping, and Kaizen events.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

• Ability to travel – 15 % travel, overnight, Unites States and international to China, Bangalore, France, Ireland, and Germany

• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
