APG Asset Management US, Inc. seeks a Financial Risk Analyst in New York, NY. Carry out risk management activities for asset classes analyzing financial risks for new and existing strategies and create new data management practices and procedures. Must possess Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics or a quantitative field or foreign equivalent and 6 months of experience as an Analyst or related occupation in asset management or company credit analysis. Full term of experience must include understanding of risk management practices (qualitative and quantitative) with a focus on alternative investment strategies; Using data analysis, knowledge of statistical tools, hypothesis testing and model building; Significant data integration training including processing, merging and quality control of data from multiple sources, implementing standardization processes to harmonize disparate data, establishing links between specific dashboards to facilitate cohesive data exploration; Working Information Technology skills such as database management using SQL, machine learning techniques and data analysis using R, STATA, PYTHON and proficiency in Excel with VBA codes; using data-sources such as Factset, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters and internal databases; Interest in sustainable investing / ESG and familiarity with responsible investing. 10% international and domestic travel required.
