Job Title: Field Service Manager | $40-45HR | 100% Travel

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Manager to oversee conveyor system installation and maintenance projects at client sites. The ideal candidate will manage project teams, ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, and provide hands-on support to Millwrights and Electricians. This role involves extensive travel and requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage conveyor system installation and maintenance projects at client sites.

  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to clients and internal teams.

  • Provide hands-on assistance to Millwrights & Electricians on client sites for proper decommissioning and installation of conveyor systems.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

  • Supervise on-site project teams, including contractors and subcontractors, to ensure project and client compliance.

  • Resolve project-related issues and develop contingency plans when necessary.

  • Supervise and instruct field service technicians to ensure the scope of work is met on time, within budget, and to client expectations.

  • Provide training and support to clients on conveyor system operations and maintenance.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in management, preferably in the conveyor industry.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Willingness to travel frequently to client sites, up to 90% of the time.

  • Experience with ERP and CRM software.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School or GED equivalent.

  • Post-high school certification or degree in machining preferred.

  • 3 years’ experience in the precision metal working machinery.

  • Understanding of Spanish is a plus.

  • Fluent in reading and writing English.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as proposals, blueprints, specifications, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and is required to follow all safety requirements at client facilities. The role requires standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Employees will be exposed to materials with SDS sheets but are not life-threatening.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
