Bernstein Equity Research Analyst in New York, New York

Analyze companies to differentiate investment theses and stock recommendations. Market views, work, and investment perspectives to institutional investors globally. Research investments to distribute findings to clients around the world. Build relationships with buy-side clients and the senior managements of companies in the industry. Collaborate with global Research Analysts in researching and analyzing industry trends. Develop perspective on strategic positioning of companies within coverage and their prospects in the market. Perform fundamental company and financial analysis and provide market performance and investment research coverage for companies within various industries. Drive thought and content leadership through publication of written products and complex financial models. Define data requirements; collect data from a wide range of publications, public findings, and databases (Bloomberg, FactSet); and validate information by applying judgement and statistical tests and using a variety of software tools. Interact with the Investor Relations departments of covered equity securities to deep dive into the companies’ performance and management objectives. Prepare complex and in-depth research reports of companies’ fundamental stick prices and recommend to investors how to trade any difference with actual market prices. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to communicate complex financial and investment research analyses to institutional investors as well as internal Sales & Trading teams. Develop the covered sector’s investment thesis, establish ratings for covered companies, and author differentiated fundamental research. Requires up to 25% US and international travel for client meetings, conferences, and corporate visits. Telecommuting may be permitted up to two days per week. When not telecommuting must report to Bernstein Institutional Services LLC, 245 Park Ave, New York, NY 10167. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field plus 3 years of professional experience as a Financial Analyst, Investment Analyst, Research Analyst, or related occupation/position/job title involving financial analysis and accounting. Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience applying accounting and valuation techniques including discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, residual income, asset-based, and dividend discount to build investment thesis and financial models; 3 years of professional experience interpreting company financial statements to identify company’s performance drivers; 3 years of professional experience analyzing data sources including Bloomberg, FactSet, and S&P market intelligence; 3 years of professional experience contributing ideas to drive research process and written product; and 3 years of professional experience writing and presenting financial analysis results.

Minimum Salary: 185,000 Maximum Salary: 250,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
