Job Summary:
The Director of Owned Social will lead and transform how LUSA brands connect, innovate and win with their social communities by creating agile yet authentic consumer connections. By harnessing the power of social data, innovation, tools and agile community management, create strategic recommendations, guidelines and pilot roadmaps that move at the speed of culture and ultimately drive business results.
Key Accountabilities
Social Strategy & Innovation: Challenge and define L’Oréal’s strategic approach and roadmap for social strategy and innovation initiatives with new features and capabilities (including but not limited to; VTO, GenAI advancement, social commerce, etc). Collaborate cross-functionally with global, CDMO and brand teams to create and scale strategic best practices within the US market.
Social Platform Partnership : Serve as the key liaison and consumer engagement expert with social platform partners (Facebook, Google/YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.). This includes tracking brand activations, establishing and disseminating best practices, vetting new platform opportunities, and collaborating cross-functionally to develop and implement the L’Oreal Social Learning Agenda.
Social Tool Champion: Serve as the expert and champion for all social intelligence tools across the Group, including; Talkwalker, Rival IQ, Tubular, DC360, Sprinklr, Famous Birthdays, Traackr, and platform dashboards. This includes driving adoption, training, best practice development, and ensuring effective utilization of these tools across the organization to maximize insights and inform strategic decision-making.
Social Community Management: Develop and implement strategies for building and nurturing engaged online communities. Utilize social listening tools to understand sentiment and identify opportunities to champion brands to have agile and positive conversations, seeding strategies and creating engaging content that resonates with the consumer.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Upskilling: Cultivate strong relationships with social teams across the organization. Lead facilitating knowledge sharing through; social taskforce forums, identify opportunities for upskilling and knowledge sharing, and promote best practice adoption across teams.
Performance Measurement & Reporting: Lead all the reporting and scorecard efforts for social content and commerce performance across L’Oreal and competitively. Drive L’Oréal’s social listening and trend tracking efforts to inform strategies in partnership with social platform teams, enterprise partners, and the Social Intelligence team to provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations.
Competitive Landscape Monitoring & Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze the competitive landscape within the social sphere. Identify emerging trends, best practices, and potential threats to inform LUSA’s social strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field
7+ years of digital marketing, social media marketing, eCommerce or similar experience, with a deep emphasis on beauty.
Expertise in social and content strategy and measurement.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills building trusting partnerships and building a strong communications strategy and network.
Ability to effectively structure and articulate presentations to foster learning.
Strategic thinking, impeccable organizational skills, a talent for process management and relationship building, and ability to influence effectively.
Aptitude for working both autonomously and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
eCom experience a plus.

Additional Benefits Information As Follows:
Salary Range [New York] : $138,500-$200,800 base salary (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
