Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive organizational procurement strategy.

  • Strategic direction of on demand planning and forecasting process.

  • Create and improve best-practice based procurement processes.

  • Identify and implement cost saving and cost reduction opportunities.

  • Manage procurement staff in areas of sourcing, freight contracting, purchasing, and supplier management.

  • Provide consultative bottoms-up budget planning and savings projections to senior and executive management across business units.

  • Lead highly visible projects which require project oversight, budget management and ongoing communication.

  • Development of scorecards and benchmarks to monitor and improve procurement and supplier performance.

  • Integrate systems and policies effectively utilizing ERP to support company initiatives.

  • Oversee internal and external logistics to mitigate out of stock risk.

  • Direct purchase orders, bids and proposals to align with company goals.

  • Manage the skills and competency development of procurement staff, including training and development

    Requirements

  • B.A. in supply chain, business or related field.

  • 10-12 years of procurement and leadership experience.

  • Experience in leading procurement teams.

  • Working knowledge of finance/ or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost management, financial accounting and risk management.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven analytics, decision making and problem-solving skills.

  • High level of expertise with e-procurement systems and tools.

  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft application skills.

    Director of Procurement

    Salary: $120,000.00-$140,000.00

    It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
