Position Responsibilities:
Drive organizational procurement strategy.
Strategic direction of on demand planning and forecasting process.
Create and improve best-practice based procurement processes.
Identify and implement cost saving and cost reduction opportunities.
Manage procurement staff in areas of sourcing, freight contracting, purchasing, and supplier management.
Provide consultative bottoms-up budget planning and savings projections to senior and executive management across business units.
Lead highly visible projects which require project oversight, budget management and ongoing communication.
Development of scorecards and benchmarks to monitor and improve procurement and supplier performance.
Integrate systems and policies effectively utilizing ERP to support company initiatives.
Oversee internal and external logistics to mitigate out of stock risk.
Direct purchase orders, bids and proposals to align with company goals.
Manage the skills and competency development of procurement staff, including training and development
Requirements
B.A. in supply chain, business or related field.
10-12 years of procurement and leadership experience.
Experience in leading procurement teams.
Working knowledge of finance/ or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost management, financial accounting and risk management.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven analytics, decision making and problem-solving skills.
High level of expertise with e-procurement systems and tools.
Advanced Excel and Microsoft application skills.
Director of Procurement
Salary: $120,000.00-$140,000.00
It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
