Description
PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVE: The Global Brand NPL (New Product Launch) Finance Team drives financial rigor and governance across New Product lifecycle to maximize accretive profitable innovations. The Global Brand NPL Finance Director facilitates standardization of NPL financial planning and analysis across the Global Brands, identifies and shares best practices, drives continued process improvements, and monitors tracking and governance. The Director reports to the SVP Finance & Strategy, Global Brand Cluster, and partners closely with Brand Finance, Marketing, Business Planning and Value Chain teams.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Enterprise/Cluster-level NPL Standardization, Escalation and Governance
Deploy and monitor standard NPL financial planning process, definitions, and requirements across all Global Brands
Manage and serve as single source of NPL financial data for other ELC planning workstreams (e.g., management reporting, IBP, MPR) across the organization
Coordinate and run quarterly NPL escalation reviews with Executive Group Presidents to monitor program status, accretion/dilution, ROI, and drive cure or cancel decisions
Facilitate communications across ELC to ensure transparency of NPL progress, risks, post-launch performance, and maintain timely updates to ELC Leadership
Drive continued NPL financial process improvements, leveraging OneSource and automation and sharing best practices across brands
Serve as NPL Finance SME and responsible for training new Global Brand Finance team members
Support Brand-level NPL Financial Planning and Analyses at Small Brands
Work with Brand Finance VPs to set NPL guardrails and deliver program ROI analyses
Partners with Brand Finance, Marketing, Business Planning and Value Chain teams to develop NPL program financial analyses (with vetted assumptions on volume, net extra, COGS) to support go/no-go decisions throughout NPL stage gates
Liaise with Regional partners to collect financial, consumer, retail, and inventory for post-launch program tracking
Leverage Technology and Systems to Deliver Long Term Automated Solution
Develop expertise in our platforms to facilitate NPL planning efficiency and reporting
Design and update existing enabling platforms for workflow and reporting
Leverage analytic tools, services, and resources to lead and train brand colleagues and functional partners
Manage and provide on-going process and tool enablement training to Global Brands, Regions and Functions
Qualifications
BA/BS in finance or related field and minimum of 8 years work experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to organize, synthesize complex data and effectively communicate recommendations to stakeholders
Exceptional analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with experience in influencing business leaders with well thought out and data-driven recommendations
Ability to manage multiple tasks, strong project management skills, and partner with cross functional teams to ensure adoption
Solution-oriented and ability to build, manage and collaborate with business partners across global, regions and functions
Experience with analyzing large amounts of data and proposing data-driven solutions that are actionable and measurable
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; Experience with PowerBI and Tableau preferred but not necessary
Familiarity with Finance, Marketing, Business Planning and Supply Chain is preferred
