Genesis10 is seeking a Desktop Support and Vulnerability Remediation Technician for a contract to hire position with a financial services client. This position is 5 days onsite in either Scarsdale, NY or NYC.
Summary:
Candidate would be dedicated to consistent collaboration with Information Security and Server Infrastructure with a primary goal of remediating vulnerabilities and applying patches. This process would involve the receipt of tickets from Information Security, reviewing SLA's, organizing timelines, coordinating and scheduling with end-users, and verifying the accuracy of the installations, and the closure of vulnerability tickets.
The associate will also work closely with the Server Infrastructure counterparts dedicated to the vulnerability remediation of servers. He/she would hold semi-weekly meetings to plan processes and discuss opportunities for automation of those processes, along with reporting progress and/or escalating concerns to Server Infrastructure Manager.
When not occupied with vulnerability remediation the candidate would be responsible for ongoing functions related to computer hardware and software installation, configuration, testing, monitoring, upgrades, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting end user network hardware, peripheral devices, including but not limited to, desktop PCs, laptops, printers and scanners, presentation equipment, software, as well as Windows operating systems (OS), Microsoft Office and other products in order to deliver required desktop service levels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- When and where required, administer, and resolve issues associated with end-user workstation, network software products and/or technical issues related to network interruptions; Perform on-site analysis, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software problems for end users; Recommend and implement corrective solutions, including on-site/off site and remote technical assistance for remote users as needed.
- Receive and respond to incoming calls, emails, tickets and/or work orders regarding incidents and/or requests.
- Act as the escalation point of contact for all computer and system related concerns from clients or other employees before escalating to other support teams.
- Attend meetings to discuss and analyze vulnerability tickets and remediations.
- If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
- Perform special ad hoc requests and related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
Qualifications:
- Possess a Technical Diploma or A+ Comp TIA certification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in PC/printers support & maintenance.
- Experience in PC (Desktop / Laptop) troubleshooting and general IT Support in an Enterprise environment.
- Experience in supporting Window 10 client environment, MS Outlook, office 365.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
- Effective end user communication.
- Analytical skills & customer oriented.
- Pleasant personality & positive attitude.
- Install & configure of end user software, e.g.: MS Office, MS Outlook. Etc.
- Install Local Area Network (LAN) client software & hardware as appropriate.
- Update hardware/software asset data using Hardware Asset Management (HAM) database in ServiceNow upon installation or relocation of any PC equipment.
- Knowledge of Active Directory Users and Computers.
- Knowledge of remote access tools like RDP, DameWare and Team Viewer.
- Basic knowledge and ability to troubleshoot LAN and wireless networks.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow preferred.
