Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Specialist Senior in New York, New York and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. Work You’ll Do Drive software advisory and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities; provide application analysis to meet software architecture and infrastructure goals. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, and coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Provide industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modeling tools to produce analysis and algorithms that help businesses make better decisions. Transform detailed requirements into a complete, detailed systems design document; support creation of interface specifications and call flows for the various components in the design. • 50% Travel required nationally • Telecommuting permitted • Work location includes various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 2 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of related work experience in each of the following: • Utilizing current-state analysis to provide software advisory and implementation services for clients in the Financial Asset and Risk Management industries; • Designing sub-components of larger systems, integrating applications with each other, and continuously optimizing system structure, utilizing Microsoft (MS) Visio; • Researching user reported issues with software systems, identifying root causes and resolutions, and implementing fixes, utilizing Jira; • Developing functional specifications for custom development and interfacing with external systems, utilizing MS Word; • Creating project charters, schedules, and plans, defining project tasks, allocating resources, and monitoring project progress, utilizing MS Project and Agile Methodology; • Working across all phases of the Project Management lifecycle to design, implement, and test BlackRock Aladdin for enterprise-level clients; • Tracking and reporting on project and milestone deliverables status to ensure timely project delivery and communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders, utilizing RAID Logs, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint; and • Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes and environments to support project design of future-state, to-be systems, and processes and environments, utilizing gap analysis.
