Role Summary:
L’Oréal USA is looking for an Assistant Vice President, Communications, Events, & Engagement to oversee the internal and external communications and events/engagements strategy for its L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty Division (LDB), helping to promote its mission to pioneer life-changing and sustainable dermatological solutions for all in alignment with the L’Oréal Groupe corporate brand strategy. This person will report to the President of LDB, North America with a functional reporting line to the Chief Corporate Affairs & Engagement Officer, North American, and be responsible for driving the strategy and execution for division-level communications and events to engage LDB employees, customers, and other external stakeholders and audiences.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead contact on all LDB related communications matters, building and executing the communications strategy and plan to increase visibility of LDB’s mission, brands & commitments.
Generate, implement, and oversee proactive internal and external communications for the President of L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty, North America and other key divisional leaders. Activities include employee communications, media relations, thought leadership, transformation projects and social media initiatives in coordination with the U.S. and global Corporate Affairs & Engagement department.
Prepare presentations, reports, briefing materials, and regular communications updates for LDB President.
Provide spokesperson training and messaging for media interviews and speaking engagements.
Develop, implement, and measure division-level communications plans, processes, protocols, and programs to enhance internal and external leadership impact.
Partner with LDB President and other leadership team members to support strategic customer communications and outreach.
Work closely with Corporate Affairs & Engagement team to protect the reputation of the division and its brands and proactively manage any issues & crises that may arise.
Provide guidance in the planning and execution of division-level events, trainings and programs, quarterly town halls, signature customer events, team off-sites, and gatherings.
Manage the LDB event strategy and operational components, including internal stakeholder engagement, budget and vendor coordination, to drive scale and greater efficiency.
Partner with other subject matter experts on key initiatives across the division including sustainability, change programs and diversity, equity & inclusion strategies and initiatives.
Qualification and Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience working in executive communications and events.
Exceptional writing skills and the ability to distill and present complex information into clear, thoughtful and engaging communications.
Determined and self-motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
Experience working cross-functionally, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, partners, and teams.
Outstanding track record in developing, prioritizing and managing communications strategies and cultural insights.
Trusted advisor to leaders who has demonstrated the ability to respond quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines and in special situations.
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with excellent judgement and multi-tasking abilities.

Additional Benefits Information As Follows:
Salary Range : $182,400 - $264,500 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
