Job Duties: Leverage and develop technology, including BlackRock proprietary technology, to create, enhance, and execute frameworks used for analytical content creation, quality control, and client deliverables. Maintain a key focus on automation and scalability in the design and implementation of financial analytical infrastructure used for client engagements. Participate in client meetings, presentations, and pitches and demonstrate ability to synthesize complex markets and financial analytics topics to internal and external audiences. Analyze client and business context, by driving client opportunities and challenges. Stay abreast of capital market trends and of the evolving landscape of relevant financial technical tools and solutions. Utilize information technologies such as Python, Excel, and SQL, among others. Coordinate the execution of capital markets and analytical efforts across recurring and ad hoc client engagements.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field. 24 months of experience in a Analyst or related role. Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following skills:
Python programming;
Unix;
R programming;
Excel and Visual Basic for applications modeling;
Value at Risk (VaR) calculations for derivatives portfolios;
Market liquidity concepts, including bid and offer spread and depth of market;
Researching and reporting on trading volumes across fixed income and equity products;
Understanding of central counterparty clearing and market structure to deliver solutions to client challenges;
Working with data and analytics technologies such as Bloomberg and other data tools;
Understanding and quantitative analysis of interest rate derivatives in the context of hedging client portfolios; and,
Understanding and quantitative analysis of FX derivatives instruments including FX forwards and cross-currency swaps in the context of hedging client portfolios.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$129,500.00 - USD$150,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
