Job Duties: Provide quantitative and analytical support to analysts investing in Investment Grade bonds. Perform fundamental credit research and relative-value analysis to reach investment conclusions and make recommendations. Coordinate with companies in specific industries and sectors. Track bond spreads and price movements of covered companies. Provide information from conference calls, industry conferences, and discussions with management teams as well as research both industry-wide and company-specific issues. Analyze macroeconomic and industry trends and their impact on the credit strength of the companies under coverage.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, or Accounting, or a related field; and 12 months experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in Investment Banking. Requires 12 months of experience involving the following: 1. Financial modeling including historical and current operating performance and credit metrics of companies within an industry as well as forecasting of companies’ forward revenue growth, EBITDA margins, FCF, and credit metrics; 2. Advanced Excel including building pivot tables, custom charts and graphs, and utilizing complex Excel formulas/functions; 3. Analysis of company financial statements to assess creditworthiness: projecting cash flow, evaluating repayment capacity, covenant compliance, discounted cash flow (DCF), and comparable transaction); 4. Comparable Credit Risk analysis across company credit metrics, ratings, ESG attributions and other financial measures within an industry; 5. Industry research and assessment- performing research on industry dynamics and trends to assess current state of industry and future outlook to help identify companies that are leaders/laggards within the industry; 6. Present to senior-level staff members conclusions of credit analysis and make recommendations on fundamental credit assessments.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$131,600.00 - USD$155,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
