BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. is hiring a(n) Associate, Application Engineer, Engineer III (ref. Code R250874 in New York, NY).Duties: Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, system development, testing, implementation and production support for services and applications to scale system operations. Take ownership for architecting and developing distributed, event-driven systems for comprehensive accounting, reconciliation, trade and order management solutions. Architect and deploy large-scale applications and execute the end-to-end technical integration of premium offerings (data clouds, APIs, computing services, and datasets) into Aladdin, ensuring seamless integration with client enterprise systems. Build different components of Aladdin’s Credit Management system that generates business events, orders and transactions across Aladdin Studio, ensuring architecting a scalable, fault-tolerant and highly available system.Develop a comprehensive data catalog and API metadata repository system to enhance data discovery, storage, querying, caching and API metrics visualization. Design and implement robust technical frameworks for the ingestion, processing, and analysis of high velocity market data streams and complex event processing. Design, evaluate, build and develop innovative technical solutions to enhance, scale and introduce new capabilities on the Aladdin platform. Empower a team of engineers by mentoring individuals, cultivating pragmatic engineering decision-making, and leveraging technical expertise to constantly raise the quality of design decisions and implementation by holding the team to a high standard. REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or related field and 48 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires 48 months of experience in each of the following skills: 1.Architect, implement, and deploy complex, low-latency large-scale applications using domain-driven design and service-oriented architecture for products/platforms that provide APIlibraries, data catalogs, and data science capabilities.2.Develop distributed event-driven systems for accounting, reconciliation, analytics, trade and order management.3.Design and utilize scalable infrastructure and orchestration systems on Azure Cloud, TKGI using Kubernetes and Docker for containerization, and cloud storage solutions such as S3.4.Utilize Snowflake and its product capabilities such as data warehouses, materialized views, and data lakes.5.Enhance efficiency through optimized data partitioning, sharding, and querying strategies for NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, InfluxDB) and relational databases (SAPASE, PostgreSQL).6.Implement high-performance APIs and microservices with Java and Golang, utilizing concurrency (multi-threading), gRPC, and SSE.7.Program with frontend technologies such as React, Redux, Axios, and TypeScript, including designing micro-frontend integrations using frameworks like Module Federation.8.Utilize secrets management tools such as HashiCorp Vault to secure sensitive information.9.Leverage open-source event/publish-subscribe frameworks such as Apache Kafka and NATS and data workflow automation tools such as Argo and Prefect.10.Implement secure cloud-native networking practices with service meshes (Consul and Envoy) and gateway technologies (NGINX and Ingress) for load balancing, traffic management,and API security.11.Employ the use of monitoring tools and open telemetry frameworks including Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics and Prometheus.12.Leverage Agile software development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps along with AquaSec.Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
