Job Duties: Associate, Product Management with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Make informed decisions around new ETF product development, oversee existing ETF products, deliver competitive intelligence to key stakeholders, monitor trends that may change or influence GSAM positioning, and contribute to the overall Global Product Strategy team initiatives. Leverage internal and external data sources (i.e., from Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, or Simfund) and apply advanced techniques, such as Tableau and Python, to build automated and scalable models to streamline processes, reduce legacy work, and enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Conduct industry and competitive research on the ETF market to understand market positioning in the context of ETF market dynamics. Curate strategic product development roadmaps and priorities across client segments following analysis of industry data; develop categorization frameworks and vetting processes for new products. Create and disseminate ETF materials for platform updates, fund deep dives (attribution or portfolio analysis), and industry development snapshots.
Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field, and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior employment must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master's) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor's) with: designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence dashboard of mutual fund and industry flow data in Tableau; extracting, manipulating, and displaying industry data from Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, or Simfund; examining and interpreting industry flows, trends, and product category trends for ETFs, including passive, index linked, and Active ETFs and evolving industry and regulatory developments; analyzing new competitor ETF products coming to market across asset classes and identifying features and components that inform saleability, lineups and proposals, including fees, liquidity mechanisms, eligible investments, and proprietary index construction; and automating processes and proposing design efficiencies for existing processes relating to market data and adjusting the frequency, detail, and relevance to products in the market, research, and development.
Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York -based position is $112,000/year - $195,000/year.
