SG Americas Operational Services, LLC Application Support Analyst (Electronic Trading - Fixed Income Markets) in New York, New York

Provide technical and functional support for the applications that are used by the traders. Work closely with traders, sales, business analysts and developers to deliver and support solutions to the trading and sales desk in a DevOps/AGILE model environment. Provide functional support to Front Office on multiple Fixed Income assets (Rates Derivatives, US Treasury, Emerging Markets, Cash loan, Exotics…) and functions (Booking, Pricing, Electronic Trading, Regulatory Reporting, Deal Reconciliation…). Troubleshoot functional issues in a complex financial environment, with various applications and architecture regionally and/or globally. Provide timely resolution of functional and technical issues and report incidents to the appropriate chain of command. Handle software releases, configuration and support of all production system components and infrastructure. Support, develop and maintain software applications, build systems, own related processes, and deliver frequent releases. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to work closely with other stakeholders (business analysts, developers, and other support teams) to deliver and support solutions in an AGILE model environment. Develop applications to automate manual operational tasks as well as build custom real-time monitoring tools and reports; and perform weekly release for the FIC perimeter applications. Responsible for Crisis Management and Incident Management with communication to end-user and senior management. Document and share best practices and knowledge. Provide functional and technical expertise to produce and promote maintainable and quality solutions, which includes documenting system requirements and documentation of support run book. Improve existing support processes by enhancing automation, monitoring and documentation. Provide documentation for own developed tools (scripts, services, webapps, website) using. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to New York, NY office. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; plus 2 years of professional experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title involving IT application platforms for electronic trading operations. Must also have the following special skills: 2 years of professional experience adhering to derivative product lifecycle workflows for a global financial institution; 2 years of professional experience performing Unix/Linux system administration using troubleshooting techniques (including Problem Identification, Rootcause Identification, establishing and implementing action plans, ensuring full functionality, and documenting findings, actions, and outcomes) and scripting languages (including Shell and Python); 2 years of professional experience performing networking (including TCP/IP, routing, and multicast); 2 years of professional experience using SQL for queries in databases; 2 years of professional experience working with stocks and derivatives products, including Options, Futures, ETFs, US Treasury and Rates derivates; and 2 years of professional experience working with Primary Exchanges and ECNs.

Minimum Salary: 95,493 Maximum Salary: 160,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
