What You Will Learn:

The Trade Marketing Analyst plays a crucial role in developing and executing trade marketing strategies to drive sales and market share growth for LDB. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of retail dynamics and consumer behavior. The Trade Marketing Analyst will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to optimize promotional activities, improve in-store visibility, and enhance the overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets data from various sources, including sales figures, market research, competitor activity, and campaign performance.

  • Develops and maintains reports, dashboards, and presentations to track KPIs and communicate insights to stakeholders.

  • Proactively identifies data trends and anomalies, providing actionable recommendations.

  • Supports the development of data-driven presentations for internal and external meetings.

  • Market Research & Competitive Intelligence:

  • Conducts market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and buying behavior.

  • Monitors and analyzes competitor activities, product launches, and marketing campaigns to identify potential threats and opportunities.

  • Provides competitive intelligence updates to the trade marketing team and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Project Support & Execution:

  • Provides support to Trade Marketing Managers in the execution of trade marketing programs.

  • Assists with the development of marketing materials, presentations, and sales tools.

  • Tracks project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring projects stay on track and within scope.

  • Administrative Support & Coordination:

  • Maintains organized records and databases related to trade marketing activities.

  • Assists with budget tracking, reporting, and administrative tasks as needed.

  • Coordinates communication and logistics for trade marketing meetings, events, and other initiatives.

  • Analytical Support & Problem Solving:

  • Provides analytical support to the trade marketing team, using data to inform decision-making and problem-solving.

  • Identifies and resolves data discrepancies, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

  • Contributes to the development and refinement of analytical tools and methodologies .

    Qualifications / Requirements:

  • 4 year college degree

  • 2+ years of industry experience (sales, category management, customer/trade marketing, sales administration)

  • Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint

  • High level of analytical and problem solving ability supplemented by strong hands on knowledge of syndicated database applications – primarily Nielsen

  • Knowledge of the retail industry with specific understanding of individual retailer profile and strategy

  • Detail oriented with solid analytical, written and verbal communication

  • Organizational skills, presentation proficiency and interpersonal skills a must

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time

  • Ability to perform under pressure within tight deadlines

    Additional Benefits Information As Follows:

    Salary Range :  $70,000 – $83,300   (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
